Nick Harkaway’s debut novel ‘The Gone-Away World’ took a year to complete. Equal parts raucous adventure, comic odyssey
and Romantic Epic, “The Gone-Away World” is a story of - among other things - love and loss; of ninjas, pirates, politics; and of a friendship stretched beyond its limits. Nick also runs Reprieve, the charity that uses the
law to enforce the human rights of prisoners, from death row to Guantánamo Bay. They investigate,litigate and educate. Working on the frontline, they provide legal support to prisoners unable to pay for it themselves.
