Tristan Bates Theatre presents the Midnight Matinee.

‘Come, let's have one other gaudy night. Let's mock the midnight bell.’

Shakespeare was thinking of the TBT. The TBT was thinking of innovative insomniacs. They were thinking of a trip to Suffolk. (Back to the TBT next month.) Get high on the night. Test the limits of the stage. Live on lager, alarums and a lust for electric theatre.

Meet the Midnight Matinee. Late nights at Latitude just got mocked.

‘The Midnight Matinee is raw, rude and unpredictable. I had a ball, and you will too.’ - Che Walker

The TBT offers all the daring of the fringe at the heart of the West End. Our intimate studio has received critical acclaim for sell-out runs of I Found My Horn, And Then You Die!, Louder Than Words, and the Midnight Matinees. Other flagship projects include Ignition which is now entering its third year. Ignition puts writers in a room with their favourite actors to see what comes out: 26 pieces of work so far.
