Sunday 19th July, 2009Reality meets fantasy as DanceEast brings a unique live installation to Latitude Festival, the perfect setting for recreating an engaging country scene. Travel to an out of the ordinary, but hilarious universe as as Artists from Canada’s CORPUS take you through a carefully rendered impression of sheep behaviour in this performance piece that is suitable for all.
Watch as Les Moutons’ shepherd rounds up a cast of four fantastically costumed human sheep before eventually transforming into a wolf and chasing the poor creatures into the dell. Corpus performers have always had a gift for deadpan, and their sheepish expressions and aimless meanderings suggest a uncanny similarity between man and mutton.
DanceEast brings international dance and performance into both traditional and unique locations across the East of England with the aim of supporting and inspiring dance. DanceEast presents an eclectic programme of dance performance of different genres, widening the experience of existing audiences whilst bringing a new and invigorated audience to dance.
