Tim Clare is a writer, stand-up poet and musician. His autobiographical book about chasing your dreams only to watch your mates make off with them, We Can’t All Be Astronauts, is out now from Ebury Press. He has written for the Guardian, the Times and the Independent, and has performed his work on BBC2, Radio 1 and 2. He presented the Channel 4 series ‘How To Get A Book Deal’. One of the most sought-after young poets, this year has seen him gigging everywhere from Glasgow to Penzance, and from Dublin to Denmark.

Ross Sutherland began performing poetry aged seventeen, as support for punk-poet John Cooper Clarke. In 2000 he became one of the founding members of the live poetry collective, Aisle16, with whom he continues to tour the UK. His recent poetry slam accolades include the winner of the North v South Slam (Apple & Snakes, Battersea, 2005) the North-West Second’s Out Slam (Apple & Snakes, Manchester, Feb 2005) and the UK v Canada Slam (Farrago, RADA, 2005). He has performed internationally at the Nitra Performing Arts Festival (2005), as well as competing in slams in Germany and Switzerland. Ross also runs poetry workshops in schools/prisons/community centres across the North West.
