Luke Wright is co-programmer of Latitude's Stand-up Poetry Arena and its main host. This year he will be bringing a wealth of new talent including Emily Berry, Ash Sarkar, Brigitte Aphrodite, Joe Duggan, David VanCauter, Mark Grist, Ian Horn, Helen Mort, Steve Rooney and Jack Stannard.

Brigitte Aphrodite is a comedienne, poet and musician.  She puts the glitter in modern day Glam rock and brazenly sums up the outrageous irony of modern day popular culture using poetical songs with wild and charming wit. The buzz around Brigitte is rapidly growing, already this year left-field radio1 DJ Rob Da Bank  has played one of her tracks on his  new music show and Volt magazine has featured Brigitte in ‘Ones to watch in 2009’. Brigitte's work is catchy and cool, bizarre and romantic and her show will be at Edinburgh festival.
