A former lecturer in electronic literature at Liverpool John Moores University, Ross now works as a playwright, journalist and professional poet. He was recently included in The Times's list of Top Ten Literary Stars of 2008. Ross is also a member of the  award winning live poetry collective Aisle16, with whom he runs Homework, a monthly night of literary miscellany at Bethnal Green Workingmen’s Club.

Ross has co-written nine live literature productions, including 2005’s Poetry Boyband (Time Out Critic’s Choice of the Year). He has just finished his first one-man show, The Three Stigmata of Pacman And Other Future Fairytales.

His debut poetry collection, Things To Do Before You Leave Town, was published this January.
