Luke Wright is co-programmer of Latitude's Stand-up Poetry Arena and its main host. This year he will be bringing a wealth of new talent including Emily Berry, Ash Sarkar, Brigitte Aphrodite, Joe Duggan, David VanCauter, Mark Grist, Ian Horn, Helen Mort, Steve Rooney and Jack Stannard.

With his laugh-out-loud comedy musings and fast-paced delivery, Mark Grist is rapidly becoming a favourite on the spoken word circuit. As well as being published in a range of literary magazines he was awarded the title 'Peterborough Poet Laureate' in 2008. Since then he has been on and off the radio, performed with Patrick Stewart in Westminster and been on a National tour with his 'Dead Poets' double act. At Latitude, he plans to rant extensively about the highs and lows of being an English teacher (whilst soaking up the start of his seven week summer holiday). Please don’t hate him.
