Sunday 19th July, 2009Famed composers Molly Nyman and Harry Escott will be presenting some of their award-winning music to Latitude audiences.
With their 12 piece chamber ensemble, The Samphire Band, they will take you on a journey from the shifty glades of Essex and on to Bedlam, finishing up back in the heart of Benjamin Britten's Suffolk (via White Cloud, Kansas). They will recreate the soundworlds to films such as Hard Candy,Deep Water, Poppy Shakespeare and A Mighty Heart accompanied by stunning visuals in a set that has been specially crafted for this year's festival.
Molly and Harry composed the score for the current film Shifty, for which they received a BIFA (British Independent Film Award) nomination for best score and they will be playing the Shifty Suite live for the first time here at Latitude
