In 2008, Nathan Jones + Wave Machines launched their collaborative performance project at a series of co-curated events called Wave If You're Really There, bringing a new quality and cohesiveness to poetry and live music partnership and raising the bar for literature in performance. Rarely seen outside their elected home-town, the pairing performed a headline slot at London Word Festival in March to critical and popular acclaim.

Nathan's uniquely engaging poetry performances are set to a dynamic soundtrack of synths, vocal harmonies, guitars and percussion.

Nathan will also be performing a solo set, featuring some of his more personal works and an a'cappella version of his poem The Dead."

Nathan Jones is a poet, performer and producer. He has been a resident writer and Creative Director of the Mercy arts collective for 6 years, during which time they have split opinion marginally in their favour, received nominations for Dazed and Confused's Re:Creation award, been all over the national media, and hosted some of the country's most innovative live literature events.  Wave Machines' limited 7"s, 'I Go I Go I Go' and 'The Greatest Escape We Ever Made', realised on Chess Club records, both sold out last year, and saw the band become one of the hottest bands on this summers festival circuit.  Their debut album is out in June 2009.
