The Smoke Fairies are Jessica Davies and Katherine Blamire. They met at school at the tender age of 12 and in the years since they have carried their haunted and haunting songs to the furthest corners of this Fair Isle. They’ve toured the strange, grand, and crumbling theatres of the UK at the personal request of Roxy Music’s Bryan Ferry, brought their spooky spectral harmonies to the stages of the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican, where they appeared and sung with the likes of Nick Cave and Ed Harcourt, then at Jarvis Cocker’s Meltdown Festival they performed the Disney song ‘Blue Shadows On The Trail’ backed by the United Kingdom’s only glass harmonica.

Most recently they charmed revelers at a Richard Hawley gig in an unamplified hotel deep in the Yorkshire countryside after being asked personally by Mr Hawley and have just supported Jack White’s new band “The Dead Weather” at London’s Forum. Whether it’s gracing the stages of prestigious concert halls, the Smoke Fairies always charm and enthrall.
