Friday 17th July, 2009The CCA Art Bus is a mobile work of art created by Sir Peter Blake, a rock n’ roll tour bus for artists. It is also a mobile art gallery. The Art Bus is used to take exhibitions of contemporary British printmakers around the country, making the visual arts more accessible to the community.
The bus is also used as an educational tool, traveling to schools and getting kids excited about art. CCA Galleries have been publishing original prints by British Artists for over 37 years. Currently CCA work with artists such as Sir Peter Blake, Donald Hamilton Fraser RA, Bruce Mclean, John Hoyland RA, Barbara Rae CBE RA and Storm Thorgerson to name just a few. They worked with the late Sir Terry Frost RA and Sandra Blow RA.
They are delighted to be visiting Latitude for the first time and showing an exhibition of works by Sir Peter Blake, who will be visiting the bus on Sunday 19th July
