For years, The Pleasance has dedicated itself to providing an early home for the best on the theatre and comedy circuit, in both Edinburgh and London. It has provided a launch pad for some of the most memorable productions and most renowned practitioners of the past decade, staying true to its mission of providing a platform for the talent of the future. This year,
the Pleasance returns to Latitude to bring revellers a selection of what’s hot from the cutting-edge venue, as well as an exclusive chance to see a sneak preview of brand new material. Pleasance has presented four ‘Picks’ for Latitude, and has become one of the must-see attractions for those wanting a sample of excellent theatrical and comedy treats.

Following on from the success of their first two joint productions ‘Floating’ and ‘Story of a Rabbit’, Hugh Hughes presents a special preview performance of his brand new show ‘360’ with renowned touring theatrecompany Hoipolloi. Expect to laugh and be moved when new graduate theatre company Dancing Brick from Paris perform their show ‘6.0: How Heap and Pebble took on the World and Won’. A hilarious and poignant story of two champion ice dancers lost in a world without ice.

Dafydd James is an award-winning performer, composer and playwright and brings his one woman show ‘Sue’ to Latitude this weekend, developed in collaboration with Total Theatre award-winning devisor Ben Lewis. Hilarious, tragic and curiously broad shouldered, Sue invites you into her lounge to bear witness to visions of her life from finishing school to Doomsday.

Their final pick, The Gannet by Fat Content, will be performed in the Outdoor Theatre.buy
